’19 Kids and Counting’ Season Finale: A Duggar Loss

This week on 19 Kids and Counting, the Duggar family shows America how they coped with the loss of baby Jubilee. This episode was a real tearjerker, but in true Duggar fashion, the family trusted in the Lord and His ultimate plan for the world.

Michelle and Jim Bob went to the doctor for an ultrasound to find out if they were expecting a baby boy or a baby girl. This is when tragedy struck. The couple learned that the baby didn’t have a heartbeat. While they were still dealing with that shocking news, they had to figure out how to tell the children about the loss.

Telling the children about the loss was almost as heart-wrenching as the actual funeral service. The children were expecting to find out if they were going to have a little brother or a little sister. The glee in their eyes was very noticeable. Michelle and Jim Bob did a great job at explaining the loss and helping the children process what it all meant. After the news, the sadness in the Duggar home was evident.

Michelle stayed in bed and let her family care for her until she had a natural miscarriage. From there, the Duggar family planned the funeral service. The service was beautiful, and America was blessed that the Duggars decided to allow this episode of 19 Kids and Counting to air.

While this was the season finale, this isn’t the end of the Duggar family. They will come back again for another season to continue to share the ups and downs of living a Christian life.
