If you’re like me and you’re never too old for Nickelodeon, you might be curious to know what the winners of the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards are. I never look forward to it anymore at my age, but I do always think it’s interesting to see who won what!
The Big Help Award went to Michelle Obama for her Let’s Move plan, which is meant to combat childhood obesity and promote healthier choices and lifestyles in America’s children. Not exactly sure how much I support or don’t support this choice because it’s been very clear that children need help in combating obesity, so it seems to me another thing like Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. There isn’t really much to warrant it. It’s like pointing out the obvious and not really doing a whole lot about it.
Best Movie Actor was Taylor Lautner, which I’ve got to say I can’t argue with! His performance in New Moon was amazing (and his looks certainly don’t hurt any, either!)
Best Movie Actress was Miley Cyrus. I honestly never really liked her in Hannah Montana, but her movie performances, I think, were well done and she does indeed deserve the award.
Favorite TV Show was iCarly, which I found a little surprising. I was never really able to get into that show much and I never thought it would actually win, but I stand corrected!
Favorite TV Actor was Dylan Sprouse, which I think is great, but I’m not sure what made him so much better than his brother to be chosen over it. I think they’re both equally talented as actors and, being twins, it’s kind of hard to put one over the other.
Favorite TV Actress was Selena Gomez, Favorite Male Athlete was Ryan Sheckler, and Favorite Female Athlete was Danica Patrick.
Favorite Music Group was the Black Eyed Peas, which I whole-heartedly agree with as I really enjoy their newest album.
So, all in all, I really wasn’t disappointed with the results. Some of them surprised me, but I do agree with the majority of them. ^_^
