Are you ready for more college football? The 2011-12 Bowl schedule usually has its big day on January 1st, but due to the NFL finishing up its regular season schedule on the first, the Bowl games have been pushed to January second.

That sits well with football fans, as they get a full day of NFL on the first, and a full day of NCAA Bowl games on the second! Who could ask for anything more?

Here is a look at the 2011-12 Bowl schedule for January 2nd.

2012 Cotton Bowl: Penn State vs. Houston – This should be an exciting game. The high-flying Houston Cougars will face Big Ten opponent Penn State. Both teams had great season in 2011.

2012 Rose Bowl: Wisconsin Badgers vs. Oregon Ducks — A game of two of the best teams in the NCAA. Wisconsin loves to run the ball and is great at doing so. They are one of the best teams in all of college football at doing so. Oregon just loves to do everything on offense! Run, pass and plenty of trick plays will be on display when the Ducks are on offense. This Rose Bowl game may be an instant classic when all is said and done.

2012 Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs. Oklahoma State — A match between two powerhouses! With a break or two for both of these teams, this could be the 2012 NCAA BCS Championship game. It will be actually a shame to see one of these teams lose.

Other Bowl games being played include Ohio State taking on Florida in the Gator Bowl; Michigan State vs. Georgia in the Outback Bowl, and Nebraska vs. South Carolina in the Capitol One Bowl.
