The 2011 NBA Playoffs are winding down to the final four. The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat have both punched their tickets to the Conference finals, and now are just waiting to see who they will face.
The Chicago Bulls can answer one of those questions tonight with a win over the Atlanta Hawks.
The Bulls lead the series 3-2 headed into tonight’s battle with the Hawks and would love to close things out in Atlanta. The underdog Atlanta Hawks have other ideas.
For the first time in this postseason, the Hawks are one loss away from elimination. They have played great basketball this post season, but if they want that to continue they will need another great team effort at home tonight.
Led by MVP Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson, the top-seeded team in the East flexed their muscle and pulled away from the high-flying Hawks in the fourth quarter for a 95-83 victory and a 3-2 lead in the series.
If the Bulls are dreaming of an NBA Title, they need to show it tonight and finish the series. Having already struggled versus Indiana in Round 1, the Bulls don’t need to go seven games against Atlanta. They need to get this thing over with as quickly as possible.
You have to give the Atlanta Hawks credit, they have played great this post season and won’t go away easily at home tonight. You can check back here for live scoring updates and commentary during the first half of action in this 2011 NBA Playoffs game.
