2011 NFL Week 15 Scores & Results: Ndamukong Suh Returns, Detroit Lions vs. Oakland Raiders (Live Blog)
The Detroit Lions know what is at stake. If they can beat the Oakland Raiders Sunday, their odds of making the post season are looking pretty good. One thing is for sure, they should be a lot stronger on defense with Ndamukong Suh returning from his two-game suspension.
The Lions have made great strides under head coach Jim Schwartz. Only a few years removed from a 0-16 season, the 2011 Detroit Lions have postseason dreams. To get there however will not easy.
The Lions are 5-0 against teams with losing records and 3-5 when facing clubs .500 or better. The Lions have been outscored 68-30 in their last two road games against the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints, both horrific loses.
The Raiders will be no push over, especially in the ‘black hole.’
They know if they want a shot at the postseason they need to beat Detroit and win the rest of their 2011 NFL schedule. Right now they are in second place in the AFC West, two games behind the Denver Broncos, with only three games left in the 2011 NFL season.
