The 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards were marred by violence after multiple scuffles inside and outside of the venue in Atlanta.

Numerous media outlets are reporting that Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got into a shoving match backstage but soon bubbled over to outside the venue, where a video was taken of Ross’ friend and protegé, Gunplay, being beaten by 50 Cents G-Unit.

In the video, it’s easy to see someone being chased—presumably Gunplay—before another man catches up to him and begins beating him on the ground. Within seconds, the man on the ground appears to pull out a can of mace and spray it in someone’s face as the scuffle continued.

Could it have been MGK who was maced? It’s hard to tell but he did say via Twitter that he got maced in the face outside of the BET Awards.

In addition, Media Take Out is reporting that multiple members of G-Unit were injured by guns, but not shot.

To add to the mess, it’s also being reported that Diddy and 50 Cent got into an argument backstage which Diddy backed down from because he has “too much money” to risk fighting over.

Wow!

It sure sounds like it was quite a scene at the BET Awards and it’s easy to see just how violent things were by the short video that was taken outside.

Who do you think started things—Maybach Music or G-Unit?
