’50 Shades of Grey’ Movie: Does Rumer Willis Want Anastasia Steele Role?

The 50 Shades of Grey movie may have yet another star to add to the casting rumor list. While some PYTs like Kristen Stewart and Selena Gomez have admitted that they haven’t crossed over into the Grey area (apparently, it’s all too risque for them), Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter, Rumer Willis, isn’t shy to crack open E.L. James’ raunchy trilogy. But could she have her eye on the role of Anastasia Steele, too?

Rumer and her boyfriend of about four months, Jayson Blair, recently took some time for a little bit of R&R in Miami, Florida, as Daily Mail reports. But while hanging out in the sand and surf, rest and relaxation—and romance—weren’t the only things on the young star’s mind. During her and Blair’s sunny, PDA-filled getaway, she also directed her attention to the nearly too-hot-to-handle 50 Shades Freed, the third book in James’ popular series. She’s obviously a fan, given she’s spending beach time reading the final installment.

She has some formidable competition in other actresses favored for the role—think Alexis Bledel, Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev, among others. However, she does has the Hollywood DNA, given the star power of her parents.

But Rumer Willis may be a bit too edgy to play the part (she was wearing combat boots with her bikini cover-up at the beach!). And, Rumer seems to have other goals—aside from film-making—in mind. While in Miami, she was apparently playing her first “official gig” with her band at the SLS Hotel South Beach.

As for her beau, Jayson Blair, he could perhaps pass as a prospect for the Christian Grey role in 50 Shades of Grey, although The Hard Times of RJ Berger actor may have a bit too much goofiness working for him to beat out other hunky favorites like Ian Somerhalder, Alexander Skarsgard, Matt Bomer and Ryan Gosling.
