A READER SITS ALONE

Filed in Gather Writing Essential by on March 2, 2010 0 Comments

With his head bent low

he sits there alone,

seeking love in

stories he reads

from all too

familiar books.

Happiness and love

are unknown to him

but he knows

it happens to others,

many books have

constantly told him so.

Still he keeps reading

sitting there all alone;

hoping to find the key

to what his life is missing;

an undiscovered secret

to a happy life.

But you and I both know

 the reality is,

that the only place

these dreams come true,

are in Fairy Tales

on aisle number two.
