A Special Midnight ~ Transition ~ WWE

A Special Midnight

another year comes

another one goes

a tradition – transition

keeps us all on our toes

out with the old year

in with the new

to a chorus of cheers

give the New Year its due

So many ways

final midnight of the year

counting down final seconds

‘til the fall

of the silver ball

Time’s Square crowds

on the telly

relatives all around

a jubilant sound

A toast…then another

of champagne by the host

a bit of the bubbly

who drinks up the most

‘til all unaware

at the end or beginning

really too lit to care

so randy some New Years

with twelve thrusts

‘til midnight or more

able, willing my lover

wafting of whispers

crescendo of cries

year-end consolation

pierced pleasured sighs

bring in the new year

by ringing her bells

one year into the next

we coupled so well

another year gone

another begun

another year older

no longer young

eyelids so heavy

midnight so late

it’s the wee hours, hurrahs,

all hoopla I hate

the fireworks will wait

booze overused

by the over-enthused

no sex is planned

that I can’t do by hand

too staid now for streaking,

party horns, porn,

loud speaking

I’ll just hit the hay early

too grumpy and surly

to not greet the new year

at morn

Happy New Year!!
