This past week-end I flew down to Washington, DC to see my oldest son Will and his lady friend, Mel. While there I took over 300 images of the sites and sounds of our national capital…this is just a preview as I organize the photos into photo/essays.
Strolling the streets of Washington, one sees beautiful ladies with flowing hair…
and waterfalls where you can bathe without care…
Dupont Circle Beaux Arts Statue
A man on horseback….
thinking about buffalo to kill…
and beautiful Memorials to men who had skill.
One can kayak the Potomac…
and be a bird watcher…
or shop at an outdoor market for “royalty food”.
One can eat at an ethnic restaurant on Connecticut Avenue
or dine at the Willard where “Peace” was designed.
One can visit an embassy to secure a Visa…
or dine with Bilbo Baggins and savor dragon fare.
One can just stroll a street in Old Town, Alexandria
or stand in a “Bread Line” during the Depression Era.
There’s so many things to do in DC….
A week might be better, I think you would agree.
Mel and Will, my gracious hosts.
