Legendary Hollywood actor, Dennis Hopper passed away Saturday morning, after battling complications from prostate cancer. Mr. Hopper dies at his California home surrounded by his friends and family. He is best known for starring in and directing “Easy Rider” in 1969. He acted in over 100 films during his career, and made a number of television appearances.

The well-respected actor received two Oscar nominations, including one for co-writing the screenplay for “Easy Rider,” as well as a star on the famous “Hollywood Walk of Fame,” in March of this year. Other awards earned by the actor include an MTV movie award for being the “Best Villain” in the 1995 movie “Speed.”

The actor was also the narrator on the Gorillaz song “Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head” on their Demon Days album. You can listen to that track here
