Adam Levine Encourages Others to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims

Adam Levine encouraged fellow Californians to help support Hurricane Sandy victims. The Maroon Five singer urged people to text, and hopefully donate, to the American Red Cross.

It all took place as The Voice coach headed out this weekend to take his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model, Behati Prinsloo, to lunch. The duo were set to chow down at The Mustard Seed Cafe, when group of local people who were organizing relief efforts for Sandy’s victims approached them. Adam offered his support by pitching right in. He even made his own sign and held it out so that cars driving by could see both him and the sign.

Obviously, he was hoping his famous mug would garner some much needed attention. Obviously it did, at least with the paparazzi who caught the photo for posterity.

Adam Levine’s sign encouraged people to text the American Red Cross and gave their number, 90999. There’s no word so far if his momentary selfless act helped. However, if you’re reading this, maybe it still can. Any donation amount will be met with joy by the many people still suffering from the results of Sandy’s wrath.

To those who think it was a publicity stunt, who cares? If it got a few more donations sent in the right direction, then it did some good.
