Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is quite the multi-tasker. The Voice judge, who has been performing and recording and, yes, judging, just launched a new record label.
Not only that, but the tattooed musician has signed his first talent, according to Billboard. And that talent is none other than Glee teacher Matthew Morrison, also known as Will Schuester on the small screen.
The music publication says that Morrison’s sophomore album will drop on the fresh label called 222 at some point this coming spring.
That noted, Adam Levine talks about the impetus behind the label that is backing Matt, “Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening…Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release.”
And, while both Adam and Morrison will likely have time to chat about their joint venture and other endeavors this Sunday when the two stars will be at the Nokia Theater, LA Live for The Grammys 2012, that apparently isn’t anything new since Matthew contends, “[Levine] and I share the same vision….”
No doubt, that vision the two share is going to result in an exciting disc that will have the polish of the Maroon 5 frontman’s magic touch and the glowing vocals of the Glee actor that always dig deep for a soulful sound.
So that said, will you buy an Adam Levine produced album of Matthew Morrison’s music? What songs do you suppose these two are cooking up for the sophomore album to be sold under the 222 label, its first? Thoughts? Thanks.
