Adrianne Palicki will be Wonder Woman in NBC remake

Adrianne Palicki was part of the failed drama, Lone Star, on Fox this fall season, but she did give an amazing performance when she guest starred on Criminal Minds a few weeks ago in “The Thirteenth Step.” Now she has been given another chance for a lead on a show that will hopefully do much better than Lone Star.

Wonder Woman cast

According to Deadline, Palicki has been given “one of the most iconic TV roles”—that of Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman. This character in the NBC remake is described as “a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.” Palicki “was the only actress invited to test for it.” She worked with Jeff Reiner, who will direct the pilot, on Friday Night Lights. David E. Kelley and Bill D’Elia will serve as executive producers.

Adrianne Palicki seems like a good choice for the role and she certainly deserves a chance on a show that has the chance to last. NBC is hoping that his remake has staying power (and does better than the crime fighting drama The Cape, introduced by the network this midseason).
