Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt graced the stage at the Grammys this evening, offering a soulful and amazing Etta James tribute, singing her hit, “Sunday Kind of Love.”

The two women performed against a simple and classic blue background, with just a piano, a guitar, and their beautiful voices, doing the recently passed performer justice in the beautiful rendition.

James passed away just weeks ago, days before she would have turned 74. The past few years had been tumultuous at best for the classic jazz influence, who had struggled with Alzheimer’s, a serious infection, and lung cancer. Though her passing was a terrible tragedy, one can only hope that wherever Etta James is now, she’s happier and more comfortable than she was in her last few years on Earth.
