An Ode to St. Andrews…

Golfing at St. Andrews was a dream come true for my husband and nephew.

For my sister-in-law, Becky D, and I, spending an afternoon in St. Andrews meant wandering around the ruins of a castle, exploring an old abbey ravaged by time, and stumbling upon an ancient Celtic cemetary. It meant walking along a poppy-strewn beach, shopping for pottery in Neouk fishing villages, and feasting on delicious Scottish fare. It meant finding the inner courtyard of a lovely old church, relaxing in gardens filled with roses, delphiniums and lupine, and being pampered by our host, James, at Kirkton Barns B&B.

Whether your passion is golfing, gardening, or history, I think you'll enjoy this glimpse of St. Andrews, Scotland!
