Angelina Jolie Only Has One Friend – Partner Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie might have a large family, but she can only count one friend – her partner Brad Pitt.

While talking to Sanjay Gupta, the actress revealed that she doesn’t really have any friends she can talk to while her work as the UN’s Goodwill Ambassador pulls her away from home life.

Angelina isn’t completely alone while she’s doing her relief work, she does have her family to talk to, but still, an a-list celebrity such and Angelina not having any friends either within or outside of the business might seem a bit surprising to most.

When asked how she copes during the time away she replied “I’ll talk to my family,” the actress — who is currently in Pakistan — said. “I talk to Brad [Pitt]; he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He’s been here as well; he came with me after the earthquake. But I don’t know, I don’t have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to.”

Angelina also takes time to make sure that the children are aware why she must leave and what’s going on in their home countries. “I tell my children why I’m going and I explain to them why I was packing flashlights and food. They help me pack some things,” she says. “My children are from a lot of these countries, so I want them to understand what’s happening in Africa, the boys to understand what’s happening if there’s something current in their countries, and for all of them to know about each other’s countries as well.”

Angelina is currently in Pakistan visiting families that have been affected by the recent flooding there as part of her work as the UN’s Goodwill Ambassador.

Angelina seems to be very well rounded and grounded by family. Perhaps not having many friends is working well for her. Friends are good to have, but family that double as friends are better yet. Angelina is fortunate to have such understanding children and Brad there for her and them. Brad is clearly her rock and they keep each other grounded as a result.

One thing Angelina never has to worry about is confiding in a friend only to have them sell her out to the media. Perhaps keeping your friends in the family has more advantages than any of us are aware of.

Does this news come as a shock to you? Should Angelina have a support system and friend outside of the family?
