The latest buzz about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: they're apparently looking to adopt a child from India. Shocking, right?
This tidbit was revealed by Jolie when she met the child stars of Slumdog Millionaire. Ten-year-old Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail asked Jolie why she hadn't adopted from his home country. She said, "Well, I'll let you into a little secret, we will soon." (The source is The Sun, so take this news with several grains of salt.)
OK, so either The Sun is lying, the 10-year-old was lying, or the Brangelina brood is about to get way out of hand. Other sources say Brad and Angelina showed interest in adopting from India when they visited an Indian orphanage back in '06. They filled out all the paperwork, but were too busy to finalize the details.
Wow. I mean, the couple has already adopted three kids: Maddox, seven, from Cambodia; Pax, four, from Vietnam; and Zahara, three, from Ethiopia. And let's not forget their seven-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox. I know one thing — if Madonna's in some sort of multicultural adoption race with the couple, she's losing.
What do you think: When is enough enough? Isn't there a point where the parents are stretched too thin? Don't they make themselves less available for the children they already have if they keep adding to the family?
