If you haven’t had enough movies full of stars and action, you’re in luck.  Coming in October, you can see several of your favorite action stars together in a brand new movie.

“Red” opens on October 15, and has an all-star cast including Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Richard Dreyfuss and Ernest Borgnine.  You can find the full cast list at

When a retired government hitman (Willis) is targeted by his outfit, he puts his old team back together in an effort to survive.  According to MSN Movies, the movie is based off of the DC Comics’ graphic novels by Warren Ellis.  DC’s movies have done well in the past, and it looks as though “Red” will be joining the hit movies, which include “Superman Returns,” “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Night” and “Catwoman.”

With similar big-name cast movies, movies such as “The Expendables,” “The Departed,” Ocean’s 11” and, in the past, “The Outsiders” and “Red Dawn,” audiences were treated to a huge cast of their favorite stars all in one movie.  Of course, not all big-name cast movies are as good as audiences expected them to be: remember “The Big Bounce” and “Burn After Reading?”  When the premieres came out, we thought they would be awesome movies because of the great cast, but the movies ended up being disappointing.  Some of them almost seem to be movies that are made when a group of actors not currently working decide to get together and just have fun making a silly movie.

But judging by the preview for “Red,” I think audiences will be able to put it in the first category.  With a cast like this, how could it not be awesome?
