There’s been another deadly shooting spree in Aurora, Colorado. That’s the same place where alleged gunman James Holmes shot and killed a dozen people in a movie theater massacre back in July. This latest shooting is being classified as a hostage situation.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, a SWAT team shot and killed a gunman in an Aurora townhouse. He was holding three others hostage.

The three hostagJames Holmeses were all dead upon the SWAT team’s arrival at the scene. They were not killed by the SWAT team’s fire.

The gunman shot at police during a standoff at around 8:15 AM on Saturday and was shot and killed less than an hour later. The names of the victims haven’t yet been released. How much more can the people of Aurora, Colorado endure? Dozens were injured in the James Holmes deadly massacre and twelve people died. Patrons at the theater were there to see the latest in the Batman series of films—The Dark Knight Rises.

In light of the recent shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, where twenty children and six adults were killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, something must be done to prevent these tragedies from taking place. No one knows what the best answer is, but some kind of action must be taken before more innocent people lose their lives.
