Bachelorette Emily Maynard Puts Kalon Put Down in Perspective

On The Bachelorette May 29, Emily Maynard went through a lot of tough scenarios with a lot of guys, but she handled each one with aplomb.

Arguably the most interesting moment of all was when the privileged Kalon, who is highly disliked by the majority of men vying for the blonde beauty’s attention, put out some arrogant vibes to the woman who he allegedly want for his wife.

Prior to this seminal encounter, Kalon was being a pill about not having alone time with Em. He sulked in a corner. He grumbled that he wasn’t picked for a one-on-one date. He wore geeky glasses. He was not likeable.

So, finally, he was given a chance to be with Emily Maynard and to get involved in a two-way conversation with the lovely lady.

Sadly, Kalon screwed this up due to his painful personality which seems to be somewhat like that of a narcissist.

Here’s what went down: The two were talking when suddenly, Emily was shushed by Kalon with the statement, “I love it when you talk but I wish you’d let me finish.” He had been going on and on about how he never had to share anyone, which is counter intuitive to being on The Bachelorette in the first place.

Still, Maynard did stop talking so that controlling Kalon would continue on with his diatribe. Nevertheless, as she walked away from the scene, The Bachelorette was heard to say in a voice-over that although she likes “tall, skinny and funny” (referring to Kalon) she dislikes “tall, skinny and condescending” (also referring to Kalon).

While this particular take (and definite put down) of the guy who so rudely interrupted her while saying she was allegedly interrupting him was off base, Emily Maynard had the last say because the cameras were rolling and so Kalon was able to see last night what an ass he had been during his time on The Bachelorette.

That said, the kicker at the end of the show when the roses were given out is that Emily Maynard gave Kalon one of those precious blooms. Now what’s that about? Is she going to try to tame this particular beast? What do you think? Stay tuned.
