Bellator 70 Preview

Bellator 70 is set to take place tonight on MTV 2. The card features some great fights that has title implications, which should only add to the intensity of the night.

The main-event features a heavyweight title fight between Cole Kondrad and Eric Prindle. Both of these fighters possess knockout power and look to end the fight early every time they square off.

Kondrad comes into this fight undefeated with a record of 9-0, and he is looking to take out his fellow training partner Eric Prindle. Konrad as some of the best wrestling in the heavyweight division. He has a smothering top control and is a force on the ground. He will look to do more of the same tonight against Eric Prindle.

Prindle comes into this fight with a record of 7-1. He has heavy hands and has one-punch knockout power. He will look to keep this fight standing and land something big early on.

The co-main event features lightweight finale tournament bout between Rick Hawn and Brent Weedman. Both of these fighters are fighter to be named this season’s Bellator lightweight champion, and the winner gets a title shot to face Michael Chandler.

Bellator 44

Hawn comes into this fight with a record of 13-1. He possesses some Olympic caliber judo and has knockout power in his hands. He has notable wins over Jim Wallhead, Lloyd Woodard, and Lyman Good. His recent drop to lightweight certainly has been great as of late, which can been seen with his devastating knockout wins.

Brent Weedman comes into this fight with an overall record of 20-7. He has a well-rounded mixed martial arts game, and can finish from the ground and standing. He holds some notable wins over Dan Hornbuckle and Douglas Lima.

Also on the card is UFC veteran Rich “No Love” Clementi. He will square off against rising star Derek Campos. Rich has been on the downhill of his career, and he will look for some resurgence against the younger fighter in Campos.

Clementi comes into this fight with an overall record of 42-21. He has notable wins over Terry Etim, Sam Stout, Melvin Guillard, and Anthony Johnson. He has some great jiu jitsu and his stand up is no slouch either. He will look to get this fight to the ground and use his grappling skills and look for the finish from there.

Derek Campos comes into this fight with a record of 6-2, and is Guy Metzer’s protégé. He has fought some quality opponents at such a young age, and has some excellent grappling skills. He also possesses one punch knockout power in his hands, which might be the x-factor in tonight’s fight.
