BET Awards: Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne MIA

Last night’s BET Awards were unbelievably entertaining, but three of the biggest winners didn’t even show up. Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne were noticeably absent from the awards show, despite the fact that all three artists took home big prizes.

Chris Brown won three awards: Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collaboration and People’s Champ Award. All three awards were given for the hit song Look At Me Now. Brown was unable to attend the BET Awards because he was busy with his FAME tour. Still, he showed much appreciation on his Twitter page: “Thank you BET but most of all TeamBreezy.”

Lil Wayne won Best Lyricist and Best Live Performer, but did not bother to come to Atlanta to accept the awards. And Lil Wayne wasn’t the only Young Money performer absent. Nicki Minaj was also MIA, despite the fact that she was crowed MVP of the Year. At this point, nobody really knows why the entire Young Money crew was absent for the BET Awards.

Too bad, because it sure would have been fun to gossip about Nick Minaj’s outfit after the show was over.
