The Big East Tournament 2012 bracket live results and scores continue on Wednesday night. Among the night’s games for the second round of the tournament will be Seton Hall vs. Louisville and Villanova vs. South Florida.
The Big East tournament live stream and televised games will be seen via ESPN and its broadband sports network. Already in the first game of the day, the Connecticut Huskies and West Virginia Mountaineers battled in a highly-entertaining game. UCONN down 11 at one point, battled back to go to overtime. Despite their floor leader, Shabazz Napier fouling out, the Huskies took the game 71-67. Next up they’ll face Syracuse in the Quarterfinals on Thursday.
Now two more games will take place during the night with the Big East Tournament live streaming on ESPN3, and being televised on ESPN’s TV channel via cable or satellite. At 7PM EST, Seton Hall takes on Louisville. The Hall will be led by Jordan Theodore, their senior point, currently averaging 15.9 points and about 7 assists a game. The Cardinals will look to their balanced scoring attack with Kyle Kuric, Russ Smith, and Chris Smith all averaging double digits. Gorgui Dieng and Chane Behanan will try to dominate the boards for Louisville.
In the nightcap game it will be South Florida hosting Villanova. USF enjoyed a first round bye with Villanova having to play and defeat Rutgers. Will the Wildcats have the ability to take out a tougher conference team like South Florida? In an interesting comparison, Nova’s leading scorer, Maalik Wayns, averages about 18 points per game, while South Florida’s Augustus Gilchrist averages about 10 a game. However, USF’s record reflects a great season in conference play as they went 12-6 in the Big East and 19-12 overall.
