Billie Joe Armstrong Broadway Bound For American Idiot

Fans of Green Day attending the “American Idiot” rock musical on Broadway are getting an extra treat this week. Billie Joe Armstrong in stepping onto the Broadway stage to help take over one of the roles this week. He will step into the shoes of St. Jimmy, the star of the show!

The news broke over the weekend that Armstrong would help take over things for role when the man cast in it, Tony Vincent, had to leave the cast for a brief hiatus to take care of personal business. The “American Idiot” stage production is based on the popular Green Day album by the same name.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Billie Joe Armstrong will appear on stage in the musical starting September 28th with a run through Sunday October 3rd. After that date, he is headed off on the next Green Day tour with the first stop in Venezuela.
