Blind Chinese dissident Chen Guangcheng has already proven he will make it against all odds, and being escorted from the American Embassy, according to The New York Times, by Ambassador Gary Locke is but the next step for the Chinese hero.
The man who champions the rights of the unborn in China doesn’t want to flee his own country; however, he wants to set it free from the morally and repugnant laws that dictate abortion as a “norm.”
And who can blame him? In a world where so many people believe in the sanctity of life–and that includes life of humans and animals–cruelty expressed in the forced sterilization and abortion of said life is just…cruel.
And the Chinese dissident can’t stand it, and he wants others to stand with him against it too, but he wants to do it from his country’s own soil. And he doesn’t want to leave his family behind.
Chen Guangcheng, although blind, is but one man, however, and the entire Chinese government is putting pressure to bear on the United States for the role they believe America played in the recent events involving their citizen, the blind citizen who won’t stop bringing attention to their Neanderthal human rights ways.
Fortunately, America has never been one to bow down to the ungodly in her midst, championing human rights at every opportunity, and so far ensuring that Guangcheng is receiving medical treatment at Chaoyang Hospital in Beijing, according to ABC News, as well as spending time reunited with his family.
Where he goes once his medical treatment is completed will remain to be seen, however, as China has issued a statement about what they think about America’s involvement to date, according to Reuters.
“The U.S. handling of this was interference in Chinese domestic affairs, and this is totally unacceptable to China. The U.S. Embassy to China has a duty to abide by the relevant international and Chinese laws, and should not engage in activities that are not in keeping with its functions.”
And the Chinese leaders have made clear what they expect in the immediate future, too, Reuters reported. They are calling for heads to roll by issuing the following stern warning to the U.S. about any further involvement–and demanding America’s leaders address the involvement to date with severe consequences for those involved.
“China demands that the U.S. apologise over this, thoroughly investigate this incident, punish those who are responsible, and give assurances that such incidents will not recur.”
In other words, tell the world you made a major mistake, fire someone (or several someones) at the Embassy for allowing Chen Guangcheng to make it on to the property, and bow and kiss their butts with promises it won’t ever happen again. Otherwise, America is in the doghouse with China over the matter.
And given the Obama administrations need to keep borrowing more deficit dollars from the country with horrible human rights abuses, we have to comply. And that is exactly what it says in the Bible in Proverbs 22:7 “…the borrower is slave to the lender.” Hello America, you are now a slave to China and can’t speak up for the dissident without cutting off the finances you now need to survive. How do you feel about that?
