Body of Missing Woman Found; Was It Suicide?

The body of missing woman Jessica Ronhock has been recovered near the Grand Canyon, bringing an end to a search that has lasted approximately three months. The 21-year-old college student vanished from New York in early January, reportedly leaving behind a note saying she had a family emergency in Arizona. This panned out to be untrue and she never made it to her family. In the frantic search for Jessica, it was earlier reported that a journal containing “disturbing” writing had been mailed to her. This made it seem like Ronhock was under duress, and could be gone against her will. However, this latest discovery has seemed to have put a cork on that theory.

It appears that 21-year-old Jessica Ronhock died in a car accident. However, this case is reeking of suicide. Without much information regarding Ronhock’s life, it’s probably far too premature to make this assumption.

Nonetheless, the journal that was mailed to her family must have been mailed to them by Jessica herself. The journal contained writings of a “disheartening nature” just two months prior to this discovery.

The body of Jessica Ronhock was discovered in the passenger side of her vehicle, which had appeared to have driven off a 200-ft. ravine, crashing through a guard rail on her way. Did she do this on purpose after mailing the journal to her family?

Police are investigating her death even though this appears to be an “accident” in their eyes. Perhaps the details of her journal may be released?
