Bones season 8 premieres next week with “The Future in the Past,” and Fox has already released photos from episode 2, “The Partners in the Divorce.”
Season 8 Episode 2 “The Partners in the Divorce” Photos and Spoilers
Brennan leaving Booth is not something that they’re going to just fix for good in the premiere, and Stephen Nathan explained in a conference call Gather.com participated in, “You know, initially you’re very happy to see somebody, but all of the three months of being abandoned essentially doesn’t go away. So that’s still kind of bubbling inside, and in the second episode we’ll see some evidence of that. There are things that they have to get past. Even though they understand what happened to each other, that doesn’t mean that it’s easy to move on and to go back to what they had before. Everything will have changed a bit.” Hart Hanson added, “We loved the idea that just because a decision is right and good and the most sensible rational decision, that it’s still painful for people, and they have to get by that. Maybe it’s even tougher when no one was in the wrong. Yes, Stephen is right. The second episode addresses that head on.”
Fox has released new photos from this upcoming Bones season 8 episode, “The Partners in the Divorce,” and they show the team at the crime scene, where it looks like the remains of the week are going to be a bit messy and probably something Booth is going to want to avoid looking at.
The photos also show Booth and Brennan doing some investigating into the victim’s life, looking around the divorce lawyer’s office and questioning those who have come into contact with her, such as her assistant and a foreman who was renovating the office. They’ll also be talking to a couple that almost divorced; could what the couple has to say hit too close to home for Booth and Brennan and that leads to a talk about Brennan leaving?
