‘Bones’ Season 8 Spoilers: A Temporary Roommate, Unidentifiable Remains, and Cam’s Romance

Bones is currently on a break until November 5, when it returns with episode 5, “Method to the Madness,” and FOX has released episode synopses for that episode, along with November 12’s “The Patriot in Purgatory” and November 19’s “The Bod in the Pod.”

Season 8 Episode 5 “Method to the Madness” Official Description

“The Jeffersonian team investigates the death of a woman whose body was found mutilated and discarded in a city garbage can. Meanwhile, Booth (David Boreanaz) invites Sweets (John Francis Daley) to stay with him and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) while he searches for a new apartment.”

Considering how close they were to living together—instead of their homecoming celebration, he ended their relationship—it’s no surprise that he’s not going to have some place to live at the moment. Seeing him staying with Booth and Brennan could be pretty amusing though, but just because he broke up with Daisy doesn’t mean he won’t be hurting as well. Poor Sweets!

Meanwhile, this case sounds like it’s going to be yet another one with a gross crime scene—and season 8 has not had a shortage of that already, even though only four episodes have aired. Will this one be the grossest yet?

Bones Season 8 Episode 6 “The Patriot in Purgatory” Official Description

“While investigating the remains of bodies that have been deemed unidentifiable, five “squinterns” uncover the identity of a man who died as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, propelling the Jeffersonian team to determine if he was a perpetrator or a victim.”

This episode is bound to be a somber one, considering the subject matter, but there are also likely to be some light-hearted moments with the male squinterns all in the lab for one case. Each of them has a very distinctive personality (and his own quirks), so that could make things very interesting as they work around one another. What will the verdict of the case end up being? Will this prompt a discussion of everyone’s experiences on 9/11?

Season 8 Episode 7 “The Bod in the Pod” Official Description

“When a crime scene cleanup expert’s remains are found mysteriously sealed in an impenetrable pod that washed up on the beach, the team tackles one of their most challenging investigations. Meanwhile, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (TJ Thyne) learn of a secret romance in which Cam (Tamara Taylor) is involved.”

It’s been teased for some time now that Cam is going to have a new relationship this season with someone fans will recognize, and that’s one of the big questions of the season so far, especially regarding the characters’ personal lives. Cam does deserve someone too after everything, but will everyone approve of this new man in her life once they find out who it is?
