The Bible Cure for Thyroid Disorders

By Don Colbert, M. D.

This concise booklet of 84 pages briefly covers the surprisingly common symptoms of hyperthyroidism as well as hypothyroidism. There is also a short explanation of how the gland works. Included is a section suggesting helpful diet changes but for me, this only sought to confuse. It appears that some healthy diet choices such as broccoli and nuts, may not be so healthy when you have a thyroid condition. A chapter covering the various natural and synthetic medications offers a helpful guide in exploration of further knowledge. Thankfully, there is only a scattering of statistics which inform but do not bore. Bible cure “Prescriptions” culminate each chapter in a worksheet or checklist form.

I have been an avid reader of Dr. Colbert for some time. In past books, the light of his shared knowledge on medical information, natural cures and spiritual nutrition has shown like a lighthouse beacon on the dark, rocky shores of disease. That this book enlightens no more than the dim flame of a candle must disappoint. Most of the information contained can easily be found by browsing the internet. However, coming from an experience, reputable source, those who only begin to suspect a thyroid problem will benefit from this brief overview. Additionally, one may benefit from the health related prayers, Bible quotes and spiritual encouragements not found accompanying the medical facts in all the usual places but contained within these pages. If not for these extras, I might feel that I paid too much for too little information.

Many people suffer with an affliction of thyroid disorder and an alarming number go undiagnosed. While millions may quietly experience the wide range of symptoms, this health topic is little covered in news and media. Dr. Don Colbert attempts to “light the lamp of wisdom” in his book, The Bible Cure for Thyroid Disorders.
