Bret Michaels remains in poor health, now suffering a mini stroke as a result of a hole in his heart.
According to his physician Dr. Joseph Zabramski, Michael’s website posted, “There is no doubt that (this) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attack (stroke). Now, check out the “I think” part of this statement. Would you get a second opinion, if your Dr. said “He thinks he found the problem.” I think we are like laboratory rats in this medical world. It all trial and error.
Michael’s doctor, nevertheless, makes sure he covers his tracks with this statement. ” Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 per cent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have. However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 per cent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart.” You think? It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that one out!
OK. This is where I question the medical profession. Maybe I’m thinking too much here, but wouldn’t you think that the last time Michaels was in the hospital, they would have given him a once over and found the hole in his heart then? I don’t understand why he wouldn’t have had a full check up when the doctors were trying to figure out the last problem.
It goes to show that you really need to be your own advocate and know your own body. And, slow down. Michaels has been pushing himself too much. He should remain out of the limelight for a long time. Maybe Michaels lifestyle is cathing up to him, but regardless, noone deserves to be a laboratory rat.
