Butterflies for Renda’s New Group and Challenge/Freewrite Poem

Butterflies greet mornings with silent songs

Pride and hope follow their flights’ trails

Butterfly wings carry childrens’ laughter

Nets shake when one catches a glimpse

Diversions forever in constant motion

Butterflies swallow colors of the world

They climb ladders to sapphire skies

Above midnight trees, they flit and flock

When I close my eyes, they dance across my lids

Butterfly dreams cease in winter frost

In bright yellow spring, they wake

with groggy,  honey- hungry bears

On sunny summer days, they frolic

 in bountiful flower gardens

In flaming fall they return to leaves
