Charlie Sheen wasn’t at Sunday evening’s SAG Awards, but he got a diss from someone who was. That someone was his former Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer, who lauded Ashton Kutcher as he took the swipe at Sheen.
According to a report from RadarOnline, as Cryer walked the red carpet at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, he was asked if he was in touch at all with Sheen. His answer, saying he was completely out of touch with his former co-star, didn’t seem like something he felt was a negative in his life.
Cryer sang Ashton Kutcher’s praises, saying he really is quite a clown. It was then that he managed to throw out a jab at Sheen.
“It’s a little less suspenseful,” he said of Ashton Kutcher being on set instead of Charlie Sheen.
“You know he’s going to be there,” he added with a big smile and a very obvious sense of satisfaction.
Cryer was referring, of course, to the numerous times Charlie Sheen either showed up late on the Two and a Half Men set–or simply didn’t bother to show up at all.
Jon Cryer ended his mini-interview by saying he does wish Charlie Sheen well and that he’s sure he’ll do just fine in his endeavors.
“He has a great team around him,” Cryer added.
Do you think Jon Cryer dissing Charlie Sheen at the SAG Awards was called for–or do you think he should have simply let sleeping dogs lie? Cryer, as well as the rest of the Two and a Half Men cast all suffered while Sheen played his games, prior to Ashton Kutcher joining the cast. Maybe Cryer felt somewhat justified in making the jab.
