Charlie Sheen Fired from ‘Two and a Half Men’

Charlie Sheen has been officially fired from CBS’s hit series “Two and a Half Men.” After a week of insane antics, interviews, online videos, and Twitter records, the actor has officially been dumped by the network.

Well, it’s about time.

In an official statement released to the press, CBS and Warner Brothers announced jointly, “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie SheenÂ’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men’ effective immediately.” Despite the actor’s erratic behavior, rants, and berating of the show and its producers the past week, the decision still comes as somewhat of a surprise. The show was, after all, still raking in ratings despite facing negative press and being forced into reruns.

No news yet on whether “Two and a Half Men” has been cancelled or if the series will somehow continue on without Charlie Sheen. More than likely there will be an attempt at continuing the series considering its popularity but the success of the TV show minus its biggest star is highly unlikely.

Considering that there was no mention of the firing in Charlie Sheen’s recent Twitter feed, the announcement may come as a surprise to the troubled star himself. He is officially unemployed and no longer the highest paid actor on television; so what comes next? Already in talks with Mark Cuban on a series for HDNet, it will be no surprise if the self-proclaimed “warlock” becomes the king of reality television. He has already proven that America is somehow in “Sheen’s Korner” with a Guinness record breaking two million followers watching his every tweet.

Do you think CBS was right to fire Charlie Sheen from “Two and a Half Men”? Do you think the show can go on without him?
