Chris Brown’s Crying Fake? New BET Awards Eye Drop Scandal Allegations

Chris Brown had a tearful outburst at Sunday’s BET Awards that had people debating whether his crying was genuine or not. Some said that Brown’s crying during his Michael Jackson tribute was the real thing, worthy of giving Brown a second chance. Others, including myself, felt that Brown’s crying was an insincere PR stunt.

Well, USmagazine.com revealed this morning that a source has come forward claiming that Chris Brown used a special eye drop to create his tears. In other words, Brown’s “genuine show of emotion” may have been total theatrics. The source says Brown’s bodyguard supplied him with “tear-inducing eye drops,” which he then rubbed in to create the tears. Wow.

Chris Brown’s camp is denying it, of course.

Me? Sadly, I would not be shocked if the allegations are true. I think that the young man saw an opportunity to manipulate viewers into forgiving him so that he could move forward with his career. If he used drops to create the tears, I am even more repulsed by his little “show” on Sunday. Brown faking the emotion is one thing. Using eye drops, in my opinion, makes it even worse.

So, what do you think of the allegations of “tear-dropping”?
