Christina Aguilera had a sickeningly embarrassing “wardrobe” malfunction while singing at Etta James’ funeral. The malfunction had nothing to do with what she had on. It was caused by what she had in–or didn’t have in–securely. The unspeakable malfunction occurred because her feminine protection product apparently failed her. Or to put it grossly and bluntly, her tampon or maxi pad leaked, and her period ran down her leg. Eeeww.
Christina Aguilera who has, for some months, been lambasted by the media for her porcine figure, will now have to contend with even more harshly disparaging press after she was photographed with menstrual blood running down her leg at Etta James’ funeral. As the former Disney starlet belted out a great rendition of James’ iconic classic, “At Last,” a terrible thing happened. She sprung a leak.
What happened? Was she high? Surely before going on stage any woman in possession of her faculties will check to make sure everything is perfect: wardrobe–no runs in the stockings, make-up–no lipstick on the teeth. And if it’s that time of the month, she will surely take a few extra minutes to make sure her pad or tampon is securely in place. Had La Aguilera been dancing, it might have slipped or become dislodged by her movements. But she was standing still on a stage singing. To reiterate: What happened?
Oh well, it’s possible that her period came on suddenly while she was in the middle of the song. That happens. On the other hand, knowing that she had to perform, and presumably knowing that the curse was due to arrive any day, why didn’t she wear a pad or panty liner just in case? Is Aguilera just plain careless, or is she in the early stages of a meltdown?
Poor Christina Aguilera. She’ll never live this one down.
