Christmas Blueberry Cobbler… Homemade from Your Kitchen

It’s Christmas and the last thing you have time for is a lot of baking. So far all that you have baked has gone to other people. Now it’s time to make something for your own family!

There are easy desserts that have about twenty steps to them and then there are desserts that you pretty much just throw everything into a bowl, stir and then spoon into a baking dish. If it’s fast to whip up, I want to know about them. I hope that you will follow my series of easy desserts you can whip up with your eyes closed.  So lets get started. Grab your apron and lets make some cookies!

1 stick butter

1 cup self-rising flour

1 ½ cups sugar

1 cup milk

1 cup water

3 cups blueberries

This is one of those recipes that you pretty much could make with your eyes closed. Okay, maybe not quite that easy ;)

The first thing you need to do is to melt the butter in a 9×13” baking dish.

Now mix the flour and just 1 cup sugar in a bowl and stir in the milk gradually.

Pour into the baking dish. This will be your batter.

Now combine the blueberries, water, and remaining ½ cup sugar and then pour it over the blueberry mixture. That’s it… other than the baking part… you are done!

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown. While you are waiting, pour yourself a coffee and listen to some Christmas tunes. :)
