Comet Cafe – As seen on The Food Network

I went to visit my cousin this May to attend her graduation from grad school.  She has an apartment on the funky East Side of Milwaukee, right by Lake Michigan.

One morning, we walked about a block and a half to Comet Cafe for some breakfast.  The atmosphere is very casual, hipster.  I enjoyed it, and I loved the color scheme.  They also had great coffee!

Comet Cafe has been featured on The Food Network by Guy Fieri, as it has some very unique dishes.  The menu is amazing!  I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted: The Bacon Cakes sounded enticing, the french toast sounded delicious (plus french toast is always a favorite of mine), and then I saw someone at a nearby table get the Breakfast Burrito, and it looked AWESOME.  I ultimately decided that I would have to come back someday to try all of it, but I asked our waiter for advice, and he told me that the Breakfast Burrito is what they are famous for, so that’s what I went with.

It was delicious and filling!  I actually took half of it home with me and heated it up for the next morning’s breakfast (and it was really good reheated!)

I WILL be going back someday, and I think I’ll try the French Toast next time.
