The technological advancements contributed by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs will live on long after his death—especially since the late tech wizard is now immortalized in his very own comic book.

For several months, Washington-based publisher Bluewater Productions has been quietly working on a 32-page, biographical comic book highlighting the life and times of Steve Jobs.

The comic book—illustrated by artist Chris Schmidt, with cover art by Joe Phillips—was originally slated to hit shelves on Oct. 27, but with the recent death of the beloved tech mogul this past Wednesday (Oct. 5), the release date came much sooner.

In the wake of Jobs’ death, Steve Jobs: Founder of Apple became available as an e-book for gadgets like the Kindle and NOOK. The standard print copy of the comic book will still be published on Oct. 27 as planned, selling for $3.99 per issue. A portion of the proceeds from sales will be given to the American Cancer Society in honor of Jobs, who suffered from pancreatic cancer.

The comic follows Jobs’ dreams, visions, and achievements, as well as his battle against cancer. It’s designed to give fans an alternate, unique look at the life of Jobs.

“His innovations command front page news, speculation of his health affects the stock market. Not bad for a college dropout,” said Bluewater president Darren G. Davis. “His story, and that of Apple, is epic. I’m surprised it took us this long to publish a proper, balanced biography of him.”

Will you be picking up a copy of the comic? What would Jobs think of starring in his very own posthumous comic book? Afterall, it’s every geek’s dream come true.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs.
