The Glee cast and producers were at this weekend’s Comic-Con in San Diego, and Gather.com had the chance to chat with them in the press room to find out what’s coming up this season as the series will be splitting time between New York and Ohio.
When season 3 ended, instead of a wedding, there was a break-up. Finn left Rachel at the train station to follow her dreams and go to New York and NYADA and revealed he was going to be joining the Army. So what can fans expect to see in season 4? Cory Monteith talks about that, what he’d like to sing, filming the emotional season 3 finale scene, and more in the video below.
According to Monteith, Glee season 4 is “a renaissance”: “It’s going to be a combination of two different locations and a lot of different dreams and a lot of different aspirations but still in a format that people are familiar with.” Rachel is going to be in New York (as will Kurt in some way, though that has yet to be revealed), and it’s still unclear where Finn will be, but that couldn’t have been the end of Rachel and Finn, right?
On the matter of Rachel and Finn, Monteith says, “I think it’s a long journey for Rachel and Finn. I don’t think it’s going to be easy, obviously if she’s in New York and he’s signing up for basic training at the end of season 3, it’s definitely going to be a challenge. But I think the most rewarding relationships are the most challenging ones. I think that they’re putting in work this season.” Will there be a happy ending for Rachel and Finn this season?
Will you be tuning in to Glee season 4?
