Is Courteney Cox’s ABC hit sitcom Cougar Town getting axed? It’s reportedly not been listed on the new lineup for the network’s midseason schedule that was released on Friday. Could it simply be a printing mistake? Was there a scheduling error? What’s going on?

According to a report from Hollywood Life, there are three new shows that are lined up on the ABC network for this new season. Good Christian Belles with Kristen Chenoweth is set to replace thCourteney Cox Arquettee less-than-popular Pan Am. Two additional new shows—Work It and The River are scheduled to premiere on ABC as well.

So what does this mean for Cougar Town? Has it really hit the end of its run? No one seems to have heard any rumors about its expected cancellation. Does any of this strike you as a bit strange?

What might be next for Courteney Cox if Cougar Town is in fact getting axed? Of course, she has her behind-the-scenes work in production and directing, but fans want to see Courteney on TV.

Of course, there are always those old Friends reruns to rely on for a quick Courteney Cox fix if in fact Cougar Town has met its maker—but still that’s not the same. Fans want current Courteney.

What have you heard about Cougar Town? Is it on still for the upcoming television season, or has it really and truly been brutally axed? Do you think there could possibly be yet one more new sitcom in Courteney Cox’s future if that is in fact the case? It sure would be a bummer to let all that good talent go to waste!
