Croatian Fried Cabbage w/ Noodles – Peceno Zelje Sa Rezancima

Yield: 6 servings
1 ea head cabbage
Salt & pepper to taste
3 tb butter or shortening
2 cups flour
1/2 cup water
2 ea eggs
Melt butter or shortening in pan.
Add shredded cabbage.
Cover but stir frequently.
Fry over med-heat until lightly browned.
Season with salt & pepper.
In a bowl, mix together flour, water & eggs.
Using fingers work ingredients together on a board.
Knead until dough is smooth and firm.
Cut dough into two parts.
Roll out ball of dough thinly then cut in strips 1″ wide.
Bring 2 qt of water to a boil. then add salt.
Add noodles & cook for 8-10 mins.
Drain then add to fried cabbage,
Stir & cook together for 2-3 mins. then serve.
