Majestically, he flapped his wings

Stunned, I stood poised

Heart beating, tad ump tad ump

Camera ready for an unbelievable shot

As if sensing my presence

Splashing into small waves,

wings spread wide

As if sensing my presence,

he turned to look at me

small round eyes

Rivulets of water dripping

as he came flapping his wings

“Yes you are baby; you are my Cuckoo bird,

I have the pictures to prove it”
