It might be Sunday, but Amazon has its Cyber Monday 2012 deals week now underway! The online retailer is offering deals on numerous items ranging from clothes to digital cameras to flatscreen TV’s. Also included are daily deals and lightning deals on various video games and movies.
The Cyber Deals week page at Amazon reveals some of the latest specials the website is offering. For video games, it’s popular titles like “Just Dance 4,” “Dishonored,” and “Assassin’s Creed 3,” that are featured at lower than normal prices. “Battlefield 3″ is just $29.99 for Xbox 360, while “LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes” is just $15 for Nintendo Wii. “FIFA Soccer 13″ is also available. It’s just $34.99 for Playstation 3 owners.
For Blu-ray or DVD movies and TV shows, customers can find “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” for just $3.99, which remains the top Cyber Monday deal in the category so far. As for Lightning Deals, Amazon will offer hit movies like “Clash of the Titans” on Blu-ray later today, “Inception” on DVD, “Horrible Bosses” on Blu-ray and “Pirates of the Caribbean” in a Four-move set. TV show deals include “Community: The Second Season” on DVD and “Scrubs: The Complete Collection.” These deals are time-limited and go off at certain times during the day Sunday, so customers will need to check out the Cyber Monday movie deals schedule and make sure to hit the site at the right times.
So far the deals aren’t quite as compelling as Black Friday’s were, but then again, it isn’t officially Cyber Monday yet. Will Amazon possibly step its game up on the deals for 11/26? It will need to as it’s considered the unofficial online shopping holiday and Amazon needs to retain its position as top online retailer. The websites for real world retail stores such as Best Buy, Walmart and Target will all be doing their best to compete, but with the right sales moves and their continued speedy shipping, Amazon should be able to hold strong.
