Cynthia Nixon Heads to Broadway to Star in ‘Wit’

Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon is headed to Broadway to star in Wit. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Wit producers. Nixon will undoubtedly be amazing as Vivian Bearing.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play focuses on the life of Bearing who is a famed poetry professor. She is shocked by the revelation that she has ovarian cancer. She then seeks experimental treatment. Wit is the journal that empowers. It is a powerful play that should be seen and appreciated by all. Are you interested in seeing Nixon on Broadway? If so, you should remember the dates below.

Previews for Wit are set to start at the Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on January 5th. The official opening will be on January 26. This isn’t the first time Cynthia Nixon has performed on Broadway. Back in 2006, she won a Tony Award when she performed in the Rabbit Hole. There’s a great chance that Nixon will see another Tony soon.
