Orlando comes into this game with an overall record of 32-19. They are also coming off a loss to the Knicks with a final score of 86-108. They have not looked good in recent performances, and will need to step it up if they want to come out the victors tonight against Dallas.
For the Mavericks, they have relied on offensive production from Nowitzki and is averaging 21.1 points per game. He has one of the best pure jump shots in the game, and is also deadly from the free throw line. Jason Kidd also has been productive for Dallas and is averaging 5.2 assists per game.
For Orlando, they have relied on their big man in Dwight Howard. Howard is averaging 20.9 points per game and is averaging 14.5 rebounds per game. He has helped them out on both ends of the floor this season, and they will need much of the same if they want to rebound off their loss against the Knicks.
Keys to Victory
For Dallas, they need to keep this game on the perimeter and utilize their three point shooting. They have some of the best shooters in the NBA, and they will need production from Nowitzki and Kidd come game time.
For the Magic, they will need another big game from Dwight Howard. He is their star player and has helped them out on rebounding the ball. They will need to get the boards on both ends of the floor if they want to beat Dallas tonight (March 30, 2012).
