Less than a day after the Olympics have ended and let the games begin: The Dancing with the Stars 2010 lineup will be announced this evening on ABC during the finale of the Bachelor.
Athletes have typically performed well in the past, with NFL Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith taking top honors on the dance sensation show. Also emerging victorious have been teams including Olympic hero Apolo Anton Ohno, racer Helio Castroneves and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.
Rumors, of course, are swirling wildly about who may appear on this season’s version of the show. According to a blog on Insidetv.com, rumored contestants include Pamela Anderson, John Stamos, Kate Gosselin and Kevin Federline.
Popular athletes whose names have popped up on the web – founded or unfounded we won’t know until Monday night – include former Olympican Greg Louganis and newly-crowned gold medalist Evan Lysacek, fresh off a dominant win in the men’s figure skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
There are sure to be a few surprises among the cast, and no doubt a famous athlete or two in the mix. And, given the results over the years, I’d expect whichever athletes make an appearance to be in the mix when a winner is announced.
Anyway, tune in tonight during the Bachelor finale for the official Dancing with the Stars 2010 lineup.
