Dancing with the Stars 2012 resumes Monday night with the 10 remaining couples as they Tango, Paso Doble, Jive and Viennese Waltz their way through Rock Week. Will TV personality Maria Menounos finally climb to the top of the judges’ leaderboard on the merit of a Tango, or is disappointment in store for the pretty Greek gal?
Given her rockin’ chemistry with pro partner Derek Hough, things look rosy for Menounos. The Tango is a theatrical dance, and she’s already proven herself more than capable of delivering emotionally laden routines. The duo’s week three “Material Girl” Rumba smoldered and earned not only praise from the judges, but terrific scores as well.
She’s also been technically good. Carrie Ann Inaba gushed over Menounos’ “frame and hold” following her week two Quickstep. Since many celebs struggle with these, she’s got a leg up on the competition.
Menounos tweeted a hopeful note to fans Sunday evening, writing “Tango has been tough…but hopin I can kill it tomorrow! Say a prayer to the tango gods! Lol…”
Dancing with the Stars 2012 resumes April 9 at 8 PM on ABC. Tune in and watch Maria Menounos and Derek Hough go for ballroom greatness.
