“I did it,” exclaimed former teen idol Donny Osmond as he ran across the stage and plucked his wife Debbie from the studio audience and carried her across the stage. Donny is one of three celebrity finalists which included the singer Maya who is best known for her collaboration on “Lady Marmalade” from the Moulin Rouge movie soundtrack and reality T.V. star and celebrity daughter Kelly Osbourne, who’s famous family was all there to cheer her on.
All the finalist did amazing jobs but Donny’s rendition of the Argentine tango performed with his partner, professional dancer Kym Johnson pushed the winning team over the top into Dancing With The Stars history, to make Donny Osmond the ninth season Dancing With The Stars winner.
The contestant with the most controversy is former GOP congressmen Tom DeLay who is still under indictment for charges of money laundering and conspiracy to engage in money laundering, but had to withdraw in week three of the competition due to stress fractures in both of his feet. Tom did return to the shows finale to dance a rousing Texas two-step routine.
Dancing With The Stars is a big ratings getter for ABC and has been consistently one of the most watched and highest ranked shows this fall.
Donny and Kym from week 10 on Dancing with the Stars. He’s not just a little bit rock n’ roll he’s also a whole lot of cha cha cha.
