Are there any “Dark Knight Rises” spoilers made known in the new extended Batman movie clip that was just revealed online? The latest segment is an extended play of a scene involving two key characters in the movie, and reveals a new bit of the story.

The Dark Knight Rises Movie Christian Bale Poster PrintThe latest Batman movie spoiler involves a conversation between Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and Gotham City police detective, John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Kyle is the real identity of Catwoman, and Blake is grilling her over recent criminal activity. That prompts the famous line heard in many teasers and trailers so far, “a girl’s gotta eat.” Selina’s referring to her thieving ways as Catwoman, since there have been many reported burglaries in Gotham recently.

However, another new piece of information is also introduced in their conversation in the new extended version clip. Blake asks Selina about his friend, Bruce Wayne. That’s right, Blake uses “friend” to refer to Bruce. Whether or not it means he knows his true identity, or if there’s something else, is yet to be revealed. It’s safe to assume that Bruce Wayne has lots of friends around Gotham due to his position of influence, and general playboy philanthropist ways.

That has fueled a bit more of the speculation that Blake will become the famous sidekick, Robin. Other speculation continues that he’ll take on the role of the Caped Crusader, once Wayne either decides to retire, or gasp, is killed. Either way, this latest tidbit was not featured in any of the previous trailers or teasers, and will certainly be answered in less than a week’s time, if it’s that big of a deal.

Do you think John Blake will become Robin, Batman, or none of the above? Will he survive in the new movie?
